In other words, I downloaded all the following packages : (Names might be imprecise, I've installed LM in French) In System settings > Mouse, I've unchecked "Disable touchpad when a mouse is connected" and "Disable touchpad while typing on a keyboard". I used to use the XFCE desktop because my previous laptop had lower specs, but this time I figured the specs were high enough to try out Cinnamon.Īnyway, I installed Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon without trouble, but upon starting it for the 1st time, the touchpad didn't work! I continued setting up a comfortable environment (with a mouse peripheral), like downloading the latest package updates, but the touchpad has yet to work. I had enjoyed very much Linux Mint 18 and 19 so far, so I figured I might as well keep using it.
